Skip is a lifting vessel intended for transporting rock mass along the mine and pit shafts from horizons to the surface. Skips can be vertical and inclined.
Dumping skips for inclined lifting are intended for delivery of minerals from a mine along an inclined trunk to the upper receiving platform.Vertical lifting skips are designed for transportation a mineral or rock along a vertical trunk to the surface.
According to the type of lifting vertical liftingskips are divided into single-channel and multi-channel. According to the method of unloading the vertical-lifting skips are divided into:
- with slide gate
- with a sector lock (according to the type of opening and closing drive the locks are divided into: in the discharge curves, with pneumatic drive, with a hydraulic drive)
- with a deflecting body (bottom unloading).
